Hi, I’m Lisa!

I’m a home baker and modern homesteader in northern Michigan, where fresh-milled flour, from-scratch cooking, and simple seasonal living shape most of our days. My kitchen is where bread is always rising, something is simmering on the stove, and the seasons decide what we’re baking or preserving next.

I created The Fresh Milled Farmhouse to share the recipes and rhythms that have become part of our everyday life. Here, you’ll find fresh-milled flour baking that actually works, seasonal recipes worth making again and again, and practical homestead living that brings intention and rhythm to everyday life.

Everything you see here comes straight from my own kitchen and our small homestead — the meals that work, the bakes we love, and the practical ways we keep things homemade and uncomplicated.

I’m so glad you’re here.
